The production version of the Maruti eVX concept, known as Suzuki e Vitara, has been officially unveiled in Milan by Suzuki Motor Corporation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maruti e Vitara: Suzuki’s First Born-Electric Midsize SUV<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It would be the company\u2019s first ‘born-electric’ midsize SUV, which will compete with models like the Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, and the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notably, this car is manufactured at the Suzuki Motor Gujarat plant and shall be sold domestically as well as exported, with 50% of production allocated for Japan and Europe. It would be revealed in India in January 2025 at the Bharat Mobility Show and shall debut in India in March 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Closely resembling the eVX concept, the car would retain its muscular body design and sharp lines, with some minor modifications. Its rugged appearance is accentuated by dark cladding, while the vehicle’s conventional two-box design offers a practical yet stylish look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Features, Specifications, and Pricing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key features include tri-slash LED daytime running lights, charging ports on the flanks, and a prominent rear wheel arch bulge. The e Vitara\u2019s dimensions are 4,275mm in length, 1,800mm in width, and 1,635mm in height, with a 2,700mm wheelbase, offering ample space for passengers and a large battery pack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is built on a new Heartect-e platform, which Suzuki co-developed with Toyota. The car shall offer 2 battery options: a 49kWh and a 61kWh, with the latter offering a dual-motor AWD variant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 61kWh version is expected to deliver a range of over 500 km. Power outputs range from 144hp<\/a> with the 49kWh battery to 174hp for the 61kWh, while the AWD version boosts total output to 184hp and 300Nm of torque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moving to the interior, e Vitara boasts a modern, upgraded cabin with a dual-screen infotainment system, a floating center console, and a range of tech features, including ADAS, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The e Vitara is expected to launch in India at competitive pricing, starting around \u20b920 lakhs, positioning it as a strong contender in the electric SUV segment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
