These machines, similar to ATMs, allow users to acquire SIM cards at their convenience using the BSNL Self Care app, making the process much more efficient and accessible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SIM Vending Machines for Easy Access<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

BSNL\u2019s SIM vending machines were recently unveiled at the India Mobile Congress in New Delhi<\/a>. These machines will be placed in high-traffic areas like railway stations and airports, allowing customers to obtain SIM cards effortlessly, even outside traditional business hours. This initiative aims to expand BSNL\u2019s customer base and make SIM cards more accessible to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Preparing for 4G and 5G Launches<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the vending machines, BSNL is preparing to launch 4G services nationwide and has begun testing for 5G technology. The Communications Minister has announced that BSNL\u2019s 5G service will start rolling out by June next year, marking a significant upgrade in the company’s service offerings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Innovative Technologies and Spam Prevention<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

At the India Mobile Congress, BSNL also showcased advanced technologies such as Intelligent Village and virtual reality. Additionally, they demonstrated a new AI-powered system to identify and reduce spam calls, addressing a common problem faced by telecom users. BSNL\u2019s collaboration with Viasat for enhanced satellite connectivity will further improve calling and internet services, especially for defense forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commitment to Aatmanirbhar Bharat<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As part of the \u201cAatmanirbhar Bharat\u201d initiative, BSNL is committed to using indigenous technology for its services. The company plans to upgrade nearly 100,000 mobile towers to 4G, a significant increase from the current 24,000 towers.
