To increase its footprint in the expanding EV market, Kia India intends to introduce its first mass-market electric vehicle early in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By 2030, the company hopes to have 4 lakh annual sales in India, making it one of its top markets worldwide, second only to South Korea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kia To Introduce First EV by 2025?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kia recently launched the fourth-generation Carnival and the EV9 electric SUV in India, both brought through the CBU (completely built-up) route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company is working on a new electric MPV that is probably based on the Kia Carens, as well as an updated version of the ICE Carnival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The recently introduced MG Windsor EV and other planned midsize electric SUVs will be competitors <\/a>for the upcoming electric MPV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second half of 2025 should see the release of the Kia Carens EV, an updated electric version of the well-liked MPV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To set the Carens EV apart from the normal model, it can have luxury equipment and enhanced technologies in addition to its electrified drivetrain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To underline that it is an electric car, the Carens EV’s exterior may undergo design changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the technical specifications remain unknown, it is anticipated that the Carens EV will have a range of more than 500 kilometers on a single charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A fully digital instrument panel, automated climate control, ventilated seats, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are just a few of the features that the Carens EV will come equipped with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With eco-friendly materials, connected automotive technologies, and a wireless smartphone charger, the interior will place a strong emphasis on sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Six airbags and Level 2 ADAS are among the safety features; a panoramic sunroof adds a touch of luxury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, Kia is working on a new small SUV that will go above the Sonet in the range. It may go by the name Syros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Customers searching for a somewhat larger and more upscale small SUV than the Sonet will be satisfied by the Syros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kia may be developing another electric car on the Syros platform, which would increase the number of EVs in their inventory in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
