BSNL Customers To Need 5G Phone To Use 4G Services<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the government gave BSNL the 700 MHz band, commercial operators like Jio have not yet used it for their own 5G networks, and the band is not yet completely established for 5G services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because using the 2,100 MHz frequency alone would not be sufficient, BSNL uses the 700 MHz band to provide sufficient capacity and coverage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The government is aware of the problem and has requested that phone companies enable future 4G devices to work with BSNL’s 700 MHz band (B28).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to guarantee that their upcoming handsets support both 4G and 5G on the 700 MHz band, BSNL is now collaborating with smartphone manufacturers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BSNL Installing Mobile Equipment for 700and 2100 MHz Bands<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although there are presently over 1,000 phones that function with BSNL’s 700 MHz band, users will have to research which smartphones work with BSNL’s network in different places.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to provide its services, BSNL is installing mobile equipment for the 700 MHz and 2,100 MHz bands; nevertheless, it might take some time for the 700 MHz ecosystem to develop at a reasonable cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a 7.3% market share, BSNL trails Jio (40.7%), Bharti Airtel (33.2%), and Vodafone Idea (18.6%) by a significant margin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
