{"id":1284442,"date":"2024-08-17T09:09:07","date_gmt":"2024-08-17T03:39:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/?p=1284442"},"modified":"2024-08-17T09:09:27","modified_gmt":"2024-08-17T03:39:27","slug":"kia-will-launch-a-new-electric-suv-revamped-carnival-in-october","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/kia-will-launch-a-new-electric-suv-revamped-carnival-in-october\/","title":{"rendered":"Kia Will Launch A New Electric SUV, Revamped Carnival In October"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>After a 2-year long hiatus, Kia is all set to take the auto world by storm with its new model offerings in October: the new-generation Kia Carnival and the all-electric Kia EV9 SUV.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"465\" src=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Untitled-design-4-4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1284458\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Untitled-design-4-4.png 1000w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Untitled-design-4-4-300x140.png 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Untitled-design-4-4-768x357.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kia Reintroduces Updated Carnival in India on October 3 with New Design and Advanced Features<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Slated to release on October 3, these models mark Kia&#8217;s return to the spotlight following the introduction of the EV6 in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It will be as a completely-knocked-down (CKD) kit that the updated Kia Carnival shall make its comeback and shall replace the previous-generation model that was phased out in 2023 due to BS6 Phase II emission norms.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The facelifted Carnival features a more upright design, with a revised grille, new vertical headlights, and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carandbike.com\/news\/new-kia-carnival-kia-ev9-suv-to-be-launched-in-india-on-october-3-3214176?amp=1\">fresh bumper design.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking internationally, it includes advanced features like two 12.3-inch screens, a head-up display, a 14.6-inch rear entertainment screen, eight airbags, and ADAS.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Price between Rs 40 lakh and potentially reaching Rs 50 lakh for the top model, the the new Carnival will likely continue with a 2.2-litre diesel engine in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kia EV9 &#8211; India\u2019s Largest All-Electric SUV with Impressive Range and Power Set for Debut<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second all-electric model in India and also Kia\u2019s largest passenger, Kia EV9 shall also debut in India. Speaking of the dimensions, its&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Measuring over 5m in length and with a 3.1 m wheelbase, it surpasses the Kia Telluride in size. Internationally, the model comes with 2 battery options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>76.1 kWh for the Standard model<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>99.8 kWh for the Long Range version<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Long Range EV9 features up to 380 bhp and 600 Nm of torque, with a 0-100 kmph time of 6 seconds, dropping to 5.3 seconds with a software update.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking of range, the car is expected to exceed 540 km on the WLTP cycle.
