Google Wallet\u2019s New AI Feature: Seamlessly Create and Manage Digital Passes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Much to the fortune and blessed times, Android users now have a better option thanks to a new feature in Google Wallet that uses AI to generate a digital version of a pass with all the relevant details, making it as convenient as any other digital pass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Google, in its I\/O conference in May, announced this feature which replaces the old \u201cPhoto\u201d option in the \u201cAdd to Wallet\u201d<\/a> menu, which only created a basic pass with a barcode or QR code.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new option, called \u201cEverything Else,\u201d can help users avoid digging through their email for a PDF while waiting in line or navigating a healthcare provider\u2019s app to retrieve an insurance card. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Google Wallet\u2019s generated passes cover a broad range of categories, including business cards, IDs, library cards, loyalty cards, passports, and vehicle registration, though it is currently available only in the US.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Use Google Wallet’s “Everything Else” Feature for Digital Passes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When selecting \u201cEverything Else,\u201d the app requests permission to use Google\u2019s AI to process the user\u2019s sensitive information and categorize it, such as a private pass, health pass, or driver\u2019s license. Users can then take a picture of the pass, and after it is processed, adjust any details or categories that seem incorrect before approving the final version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The instructions for the use of this feature, which was rolled out earlier this month, has been published by the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While Emma Roth has it on her Galaxy Note 20, it has not yet appeared on their Pixel 6, but it is expected to become available on more devices soon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
