The next-generation Basalt SUV from French automaker Citro\u00ebn has finally been revealed officially. During the first week of August, the Basalt SUV is anticipated to be launched.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Basalt is being marketed by Citro\u00ebn as “India’s first SUV Coupe.”<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Normally found in cars in the upper price range, this design is now being offered in the lower price range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the budget SUV market, the Tata Curvv and the Citro\u00ebn Basalt will be rivals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pierre Leclercq, Head of Citro\u00ebn Design presented the Basalt’s design concept. In the Citro\u00ebn portfolio in India, the Basalt is a companion to the C3 and C3 Aircross. The SUV blends the efficiency and space of a coupe with the strength and adaptability of an SUV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Basalt’s dimensions combine the sleek fastback design of a Coup\u00e9 with SUV elements like fenders and claddings. Inspiration for the Basalt’s descending roofline came from legendary cars like as the CX (1974) and the C4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The C3 and C3 Aircross served as inspiration for the Basalt’s design. The Basalt combines the sturdy utility of an SUV with the dynamic flair of a coup\u00e9. A remarkable Coup\u00e9 silhouette with sweeping, flowing lines can be seen in the side profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Basalt SUV: Specifications and Features<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The boot is spacious and easily accessible, and the roofline extends to meet it. For a rough appearance, the Basalt has squared wheel arches and powerful fender lines. The Chevron emblem is extended to the front end’s twin LED DRLs and body-colored grille inserts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The front and rear of the vehicle have imitation skid plates painted in silver, which accentuates its powerful aspect. Though not yet disclosed, the interior is anticipated to resemble that of the C3 and C3 Aircross.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Possible features include a multifunction steering wheel, digital instrument cluster, and 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Electric ORVMs, cruise control, push-start button, and automatic climate control are some other expected features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The engine will be powered by a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine. There will be a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A key element in the Basalt’s success in the cutthroat Indian market will be pricing. In order to compete effectively with rivals like as the Curvv, the Basalt must offer competitive pricing and a respectable amount of features.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
