This decision will impact a large number of urban consumers who have relied on these platforms for their monthly bill payments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Official Statement and Consumer Reactions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The power utility authorities confirmed that the decision aligns with RBI&#8217;s directives issued to power utilities nationwide. A social media announcement by TGSPDCL triggered mixed reactions among consumers. Many expressed their frustration, labeling the move as a &#8220;harsh step.&#8221; Several consumers pointed out the absence of an app for iPhone users and suggested making the bill payments compliant with Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS).
