While working on many enhancements, WhatsApp<\/a> for Android may be adding support for sending video replies to video messages soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WhatsApp Adding Support For Video Messages<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You would be amazed to know that besides text and voice messages, WhatsApp also supports the ability to send a brief video as a message. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It appears to be a handy option, and soon might work out in both ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of now, if anyone sends a video message in WhatsApp,  we can only reply to it with text or audio. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, with this new feature, the users may be able to send a video as a direct reply.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This feature was reportedly spotted by the folks over at WABetaInfo<\/a> in one of the latest beta updates, version 2.24.14.5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are wondering about the release, this change may not be live for everyone just yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can expect it to roll out more widely in the coming weeks as it is presently available in beta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ceasing Support For 35 Smartphones<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In another update<\/a>, the popular messaging platform, WhatsApp will impact millions of users as it is planning to cease support for over 35 smartphone models by the end of this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This decision would be affecting a range of older devices, rendering them incompatible with the popular messaging app and prompting users to upgrade to newer models to continue using the service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to this discontinuation, it is part of WhatsApp\u2019s routine practice of phasing out support for older devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The smartphone maker does this to ensure optimal performance and security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 In many situations earlier, the Meta-owned platform has reiterated that maintaining the app on outdated hardware affects their ability to implement new features and security updates effectively. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note here that this latest update primarily impacts smartphones that are several years old and still running outdated versions of Android and iOS operating systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
