{"id":1282820,"date":"2024-06-26T10:24:14","date_gmt":"2024-06-26T04:54:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/?p=1282820"},"modified":"2024-06-26T10:24:35","modified_gmt":"2024-06-26T04:54:35","slug":"delhi-airport-passengers-will-now-spend-30-seconds-for-check-in-process","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/delhi-airport-passengers-will-now-spend-30-seconds-for-check-in-process\/","title":{"rendered":"Delhi Airport Passengers Will Now Spend 30 Seconds For Check-In Process"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"465\" src=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Untitled-design-23-1.jpeg\" alt=\"Delhi Airport Passengers Will Now Spend 30 Seconds For Check-In Process\" class=\"wp-image-1282826\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Untitled-design-23-1.jpeg 1000w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Untitled-design-23-1-300x140.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Untitled-design-23-1-768x357.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A recent media <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessleague.in\/check-in-time-at-delhi-airport-will-now-be-reduced-to-half\/?utm_source=inshorts&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=fullarticle&amp;amp=1\">report<\/a> reveals the upgrades done in Delhi airport in order to provide hassle-free experiences to the travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Check-InTime Reduced In Delhi Airport<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the implementation of these services, the passengers at the Delhi airport will now be able to tag their luggage themselves and print their boarding passes to complete the check-in process in less time.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When it comes to the Delhi airport, it is operated by a company Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), the company informed about the launch of this self-service system in a statement on Tuesday.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the implementation of the quick baggage \u2018drop\u2019 facility under this new system, the check-in process has reduced the time taken from one minute to just 30 seconds, according to the DIAL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This upgrade holds a great significance as it will become the second airport in the world to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The facility has already been implemented in Delhi\u2019s Indira Gandhi International Airport as it became the first airport in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is also the second airport in the world after Toronto, Canada to introduce such a solution.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Presently, the airport has installed about 50 Self-Service Bag Drop (SSBD) units for passengers at Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, under this new implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Further, these units are currently operating with three airlines including Air India, Indigo and Air India Express.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This system will reduce the time by 1 minute to 30 seconds as the traditional system, baggage drop takes about a minute.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How Does It Work?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While using this system, the passengers can go ahead of the check-in desk and print their boarding pass and collect their baggage tag at the Common Use Self-Service (CUSS) kiosk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;After reaching the baggage drop units, passengers have to scan their boarding pass or face the biometric cameras and place their bags on the conveyor belt, DIAL said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moving ahead, DIAL has introduced a quick drop solution feature in order to make the process more efficient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides this, this process does not require any boarding pass or biometric verification as these details are already present on the baggage tag.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This whole process reduces the processing time from about a minute to 30 seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Quick Drop solution not only speeds up the process but also ensures a seamless journey for our passengers,\u201d&nbsp; said Videh Kumar Jaipuriar, CEO, DIAL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to follow this process, the passengers can collect their baggage tags from the CUSS kiosk at the airport and affix them on their luggage.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A recent media report reveals the upgrades done in Delhi airport in order to provide hassle-free experiences to the travelers.
