There is a major rule change for the driving license which comes into effect from June 1, as per the notification from the government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Changes For Getting A Driving License<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It appears that the Indian government has changed the rules for getting a driving license<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under this change, now individuals do not need to give a driving test in the Government Regional Transport Office (RTO) for getting their license.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Instead of that now they have authorized the private institutions to conduct tests and issue certificates. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note here that this new rule will be effective from June 1, 2024, as per the notification which has been issued by the government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Are The News Rules For Getting Driving License?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As per these new rules, the private driving training centers should have at least 1 acre of land to accomplish a private driving training center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the center is going for 4 wheeler motors, then an additional 2 acres of land will be required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides this, the private driving training center should also have access to appropriate testing facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to the trainers, they must have at least a high school diploma. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They also need to have at least 5 years of driving experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trainers should know the fundamentals of biometrics and information technology systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to the training period, the light vehicle training must be completed over 4 weeks (minimum 29 hours). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which further needs to be divided into at least two sections including theory and practical. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Out of that, the theory section should be 8 hours. Similarly, the practical should be of 21 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the case of heavy motor vehicles, they require 38 hours of training, which will include 8 hours of theory education and 31 hours of practical preparation and the training will be completed within 6 weeks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The change in these rules is to ensure that private driving training centers maintain high standards for drivers of both light and heavy vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What About The Fees?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides all these details, the government has also decided the fees for all these services and it is mentioned below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. The learner license fee is Rs 200.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. The learner license Renewal will be done for Rs 200.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. The international license fee is Rs 1000.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. The permanent license fee is Rs 200.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    How To Apply For Driving License?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    1. Firstly go to the portal (https:\/\/parivahan.gov.in<\/a>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. There select the Driving License Apply option on the homepage and select it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. An application form will open which you can print if needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Here, just fill all the necessary information correctly in the application form.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Next upload the documents mentioned in the form.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. Now fill again as per the given instructions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. Once you complete the application process, visit the RTO to submit the required documents and provide proof of your driving skills.The process is done.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      A diving license will be issued after successful completion of the process.
