The restructuring primarily impacts support teams, aligning with the company’s increased focus on leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) in its operations. In a separate development, CEO Hemant Bakshi has resigned from his position within three months of joining the company. While Ola Cabs declined to comment on Bakshi’s departure, Aggarwal mentioned that Bakshi is leaving to pursue opportunities outside the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the layoffs, Ola Cabs reported operational profits of Rs 250 crore on a standalone basis in FY23, a significant improvement compared to the previous year’s losses.
