{"id":1280062,"date":"2024-03-26T08:06:56","date_gmt":"2024-03-26T02:36:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/?p=1280062"},"modified":"2024-03-26T08:07:18","modified_gmt":"2024-03-26T02:37:18","slug":"update-these-critical-documents-else-your-provident-fund-money-can-get-stuck","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/update-these-critical-documents-else-your-provident-fund-money-can-get-stuck\/","title":{"rendered":"Update These Critical Documents Else Your Provident Fund Money Can Get Stuck"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has released the Universal Account Number of members and employers and has asked to update the information in the EPFO account correctly since failing to do so would make the PF money useless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Untitled-design-11-1-1280x720-2-1024x576-1.jpeg\" alt=\"Update These Critical Documents Else Your Provident Fund Money Can Get Stuck\" class=\"wp-image-1280311\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Untitled-design-11-1-1280x720-2-1024x576-1.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Untitled-design-11-1-1280x720-2-1024x576-1-300x169.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Untitled-design-11-1-1280x720-2-1024x576-1-768x432.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to correct the mistakes in the Universal Account Number (UAN) profiles of members and employers, the document list that is required for joint declaration has now been changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to update your UAN profile, these documents have to be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessleague.in\/epfo-new-update-update-these-documents-otherwise-your-pf-money-may-get-stuck\/?amp=1&amp;utm_campaign=fullarticle&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_source=inshorts\">provided<\/a> as per the SOP revised notification dated March 11, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has been mentioned that an applicant can now submit Aadhaar card in the name of the member\u2019s father\/mother, PAN card, 10th or 12th mark sheet in the name of the father\/mother and driving license while applying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>List of Documents to Correct UAN Profiles<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Name of member<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gender<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Date of birth<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aadhaar number<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Marital status<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Father\/Mother\u2019s Name<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Documentation Requirements for Corrections in Personal Records<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the correction on father\u2019s or mother\u2019s name, below documents should be procured<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Father\/Mother\u2019s passport<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ration Card\/PDS Card<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pension Card<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Birth Certificate, issued by Municipal Corporation and other notified local government bodies like Taluk, Tehsil etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Government issued marriage certificate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Photo identity card issued by Central\/State Government. State Government like Bhamashah, Jan Aadhaar, MNREGA, Army Canteen Card etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CGHS\/ECHS\/Medi-Claim Card\/PSU Card with photograph issued by Central\/State Government<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For the corrections in date of birth, below documents are required:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Birth certificate issued by the Registrar of Births and Deaths.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Marksheet issued by a recognized government board or university.
