The RTO has urged the Transport Commissioner to take action by shutting down their websites and apps, citing the lack of appropriate licenses. According to Section 93(1) of the Motor Vehicles Act 1988, these companies must obtain permission before conducting business. However, none of them have applied for licenses, prompting the RTO to instruct the Special Inspector General of Cyber Cell to take action against their digital platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Exclusion of Ola and Uber<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notably, Ola and Uber are not part of the list as they have already applied for licenses under the central aggregator policy. Their applications are pending, awaiting approval in the upcoming meeting of the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) chaired by the District Collector.
