In February 2024, Tata Motors overtook Hyundai Motor India in monthly sales of passenger vehicles (PVs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tata Motors Overtook Hyundai India in Monthly Sales<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With 53,633 units sold, Tata Motors recorded its best monthly sales numbers in January 2024, a 20% YoY increase in sales.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whereas, Hyundai sold 50,201 units in February, a 6.8% YoY increase. Hyundai led Tata Motors in total sales, including exports, with 60,501 units against 51,321 units for the Indian automaker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024, Tata Motors intends to introduce the all-electric, gasoline, and diesel iterations of its mid-size SUV coupe, the Curvv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tata Motors saw a 30% YoY increase in electric vehicle sales in February, with 6,923 units sold. Tata Motors also has plans to launch the Harrier EV, Nexon iCNG concept, standard Nexon, Dark Edition Nexon EV, and Altroz Racer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With 15,276 units sold in February, Hyundai’s recently released facelifted Creta saw its highest monthly sales to date. Hyundai plans to release the updated Alcazar later in the year in addition to the N Line version of the Creta on March 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tata\u2019s Curvv and Hyundai\u2019s Creta Lead Monthly Sales<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Curvv from Tata Motors will come in gasoline, diesel, and all-electric configurations. Tata Motors is pushing electric cars hard, and the company has seen a sharp increase in EV sales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With 15,276 sales in February, Hyundai’s Creta saw its highest monthly sales since its 2015 launch. Later in 2024, Hyundai intends to release the Creta N Line and update the Alcazar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tata Motors intends to present a number of new products at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024 in an effort to broaden its product offering. Hyundai maintains a strong position in the Indian auto industry, with notable sales figures throughout its range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hyundai and Tata Motors are both increasing the range of electric vehicles they offer and making investments in EV technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Indian passenger car market, Tata Motors and Hyundai continue to compete fiercely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hyundai’s standing in the SUV market has been strengthened by the Creta’s popularity, and more changes and variations are in the works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
