{"id":1279306,"date":"2024-02-23T08:15:22","date_gmt":"2024-02-23T02:45:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/?p=1279306"},"modified":"2024-02-23T08:15:42","modified_gmt":"2024-02-23T02:45:42","slug":"1-2-crore-indians-arrived-in-dubai-airport-in-90-days-sets-a-new-record","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/1-2-crore-indians-arrived-in-dubai-airport-in-90-days-sets-a-new-record\/","title":{"rendered":"1.2 Crore Indians Arrived In Dubai Airport In 90 Days: Sets A New Record!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Our country is emerging as the top destination for the highest number of passengers flying through the Dubai International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Untitled-design-1280x720-1-1024x576-1.jpeg\" alt=\"1.2 Crore Indians Arrived In Dubai Airport In 90 Days: Sets A New Record!\" class=\"wp-image-1279313\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Untitled-design-1280x720-1-1024x576-1.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Untitled-design-1280x720-1-1024x576-1-300x169.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Untitled-design-1280x720-1-1024x576-1-768x432.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Dubai International Airport, being the world\u2019s busiest for international travel, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/news\/international\/india-tops-list-for-highest-number-of-passengers-at-dubai-airport-with-119-million-arrivals\/article67863656.ece\">announced<\/a> its traffic totalling 11.9 million guests on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>India Tops The List For Highest Number Of Passengers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this update, the Dubai airport which is also known as DXB has not only surpassed its own yearly forecast but also gone ahead from its pre-pandemic levels of traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2023 year witnessed a surge in passenger numbers in DXB, reaching 86.9 million passengers (86,994,365) making a very impressive year-on-year increase of 31.7%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interestingly, this was just under a percent higher than the passenger numbers recorded in 2019 (86.4 million).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These numbers seem to be driven by robust growth in the second half of the year, recording a total of 45.4 million guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>December was the busiest month in the fourth quarter with 7.8 million guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During this quarter, the airport welcomed a total of 22.4 million guests hence reporting a year-on-year growth of 13.8 per cent compared to Q4 of last year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Further, Q3 reported the highest traffic since 2019 with 23 million guests while August, with 7.9 million guests, was the month with the highest traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Presently, DXB is connected to 262 destinations across 104 countries through 102 international carriers, as per the&nbsp; data for 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Highest Volume Of Bags Managed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When it comes to India, it has claimed the top spot among destination countries with traffic totalling 11.9 million guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is followed by Saudi Arabia with 6.7 million guests and the U.K. with 5.9 million guests.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides these, other countries&#8217; markets of note include Pakistan (4.2 million), the U.S. (3.6 million), Russia (2.5 million), and Germany (2.5 million).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During 2023, DXB processed a total of 77.5 million bags hence making it the highest volume of bags managed during a calendar year at the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DXB maintained its unmatched success rate of 99.8% despite a 24.6% year-on-year increase in baggage volume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notably, they had only 2.4 mishandled bags per 1,000 passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Coming to the waiting time, more than 95% of guests experienced less than seven minutes of waiting time at the departure passport control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, the average waiting time at security check-in departures was less than four minutes for 97.5% of guests.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our country is emerging as the top destination for the highest number of passengers flying through the Dubai International Airport.
