After a long period of 42 years, the award-winning Luxury train Palace on Wheels<\/a> has decided to change its route to the sacred Indian cities–Ayodhya, Kashi, and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier, the luxury train covered the likes of Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Ranthambore National Park, and Agra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Palace on Wheels Goes Religious<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will be after 42 years of its existence and starting May this year, that the train will be introducing religious tours. It was back in 1982 that the luxury train was launched in association with the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An array of amenities is featured in the Palace of Wheels which include an Ayurvedic spa, personal butlers, a welcome ceremony, as well as, classic royal dining.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

India\u2019s top luxurious train will take passengers on a six-day spiritual journey from Delhi to Ayodhya, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Mathura, and Vrindavan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a period of 7 years, the management of Palace of Wheels has been delegated by RTDC to the Gujarat-based Cube Construction Company Pvt Ltd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting May, the private operator will initiate a six-day religious service. As per reports, an annual payment of \u20b95 crores along with a share of 18% of the total turnover has been committed by the company to the RTDC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No Non-Veg Food & Alcohol<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notably, the officials of the train told that in order to cater to the foreign and domestic tourists, the train had been serving non-vegetarian food and alcoholic beverages, however the same shall be abstained in the new religious tour. Furthermore, onion and garlic too shall be excluded in the vegetarian cuisine. Besides the food, the devotional melodies of Ram and Krishna shall be played inside the train throughout the expedition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It shall be twice a month that the luxury train would run, eventually providing flexibility for local tourists who may opt for specific destinations like Ayodhya or Prayagraj. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For tailored trips, discounts shall be offered, as confirmed by train officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
