{"id":1278696,"date":"2024-02-07T10:59:42","date_gmt":"2024-02-07T05:29:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/?p=1278696"},"modified":"2024-02-07T11:00:03","modified_gmt":"2024-02-07T05:30:03","slug":"infosys-claims-ai-investment-will-triple-to-rs-29000-crore-in-asia-pacific-region","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/infosys-claims-ai-investment-will-triple-to-rs-29000-crore-in-asia-pacific-region\/","title":{"rendered":"Infosys Claims AI Investment Will Triple To Rs 29,000 Crore In Asia-Pacific Region"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Considering the latest trend of use of Artificial intelligence throughout the industry, various firms all over the Asia-Pacific region seem to nearly triple their investments in generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI), as per a latest research done by the Infosys Knowledge Institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"465\" src=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Untitled-design-20-1.jpg\" alt=\"Infosys Claims AI Investment Will Triple To Rs 29,000 Crore In Asia-Pacific Region\" class=\"wp-image-1278700\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Untitled-design-20-1.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Untitled-design-20-1-300x140.jpg 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Untitled-design-20-1-768x357.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>More Investment On Gen AI In Asia Pacific Region<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be specific, they are planning to invest almost $3.4 billion worth during 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Out of them, China itself leads the region having investment anticipated to reach by more than 160% to $2.1 billion, according to the finding from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moneycontrol.com\/news\/technology\/spending-on-gen-ai-in-asia-pacific-region-to-triple-to-3-4-bn-in-2024-says-infosys-research-12133011.html#google_vignette\">research arm of Infosys<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here, this research is primarily based on interviews which were conducted with business leaders and AI practitioners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The survey was conducted with over 1,000 respondents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Further, this survey indicates that the spending in Australia and New Zealand will be close to China.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If we go by the figures, the investments by these two countries are expected to stand over 150% to $151 million from $60 million in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While talking about this research, Infosys said, &#8220;Australian companies are more likely to deliver business value from Gen AI investments than European and North American counterparts.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In essence, the survey reveals that almost $3.4-billion investment will be done across the countries including Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan, India, and Singapore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Impact On Reputation &amp; Employee Reputation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But the road towards this development is not that smooth as the biggest obstacles to adoption in the Asia-Pacific region includes caution around responsible AI as they were having concerns about impact on reputation, and employee readiness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As compared to the other regions, companies are more likely to focus on product development and content generation in the region, indicated as another key finding from the research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Executive Vice President, Asia Pacific, Infosys, Andrew Groth said, &#8220;Although company leaders across APAC (Asia-Pacific) have been more cautious than companies in the rest of the world, they are set to outpace firms in other regions.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The companies in this region are already delivering more value from their spending on gen AI, Groth added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Considering the latest trend of use of Artificial intelligence throughout the industry, various firms all over the Asia-Pacific region seem to nearly triple their investments in generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI), as per a latest research done by the Infosys Knowledge Institute.
