The United Kingdom Introduces Changes To Visitor Visa<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Individuals who hold tourist visas will be allowed to work with clients and also work remotely when they visit the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As reported in the VisaGuide.World, \u201cThe UK\u2019s government has published an update to its immigration rules, thus permitting more activities on Visitor Visas, while confirming that the new changes will become effective from January 31, 2024.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, employees of companies who have both British and international branches will be able to work with clients abroad. However, this is applicable as long as a small part of their overseas responsibilities are included. Along with this, their responsibilities should also be important for a project or a service by their UK branch. Additionally, it shouldn\u2019t be directly delivered to a UK client by an overseas employer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remote Working Now Possible in UK<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As per reports, individuals with visitors can work remotely from the UK; however, working remotely should not be the primary reason for their visit to the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scientists, researchers, and academics will be allowed to conduct research in the UK; however, students who are applying for a 12-month visit visa or extending permission within the country will be an exception to this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, lawyers will be able to participate in additional activities such as offering advice, being expert witnesses, taking part in legal proceedings, and teaching as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new rules have stated, \u201cThe Permitted Paid Engagement (PPE) Visitor route will be merged into the Standard Visitor route, meaning that those doing paid engagements will not need a separate visa, but they still have to plan the activity within 30 days of arriving.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
