Last week, Samsung unveiled its new Galaxy S24 lineup equipped with the AI-powered Galaxy AI<\/em> platform. Running Android 14 and One UI 6.1, the S24 series leapfrogs other Samsung devices on UI version (all earlier models are on One UI 6).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Naturally, Galaxy users wondered if their existing Samsung phones are also getting AI upgrades. Samsung has confirmed that many Galaxy AI<\/em> features will indeed come to older flagships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One UI 6.1 With AI Features for 8 Older Models<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Specifically, the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and Galaxy Tab S9 devices will receive<\/a> an AI infusion in H1 2024 via the One UI 6.1 update. This key software upgrade is slated for rollout across these 8 models by end of June 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While not all capabilities of the new Galaxy AI<\/em> on S24 family will make it, a sizable chunk will. Samsung is yet to detail which exact functionalities will arrive and which may remain S24 exclusives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But AI-based enhancements are guaranteed in areas including intelligent photo editing, adaptive display, Bixby routines, battery optimization, device maintenance and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
