A 2018 MeitY order stating the same was also cited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This key aspect has been repeatedly stressed by different High Courts in recent judgements as well. Hence based on UIDAI&#8217;s observations, EPFO has struck down Aadhaar from acceptable DoB proofs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Other Valid Documents Retained<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per a EPFO circular in August 2022, the other documents deemed valid for establishing DoB continue to remain:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Birth certificate issued by municipal authorities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Academic marksheets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>School leaving or transfer certificates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Central\/State government service records<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PAN card issued by Income Tax Department<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Central\/State pension payment orders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Health insurance cards like CGHS, ECHS<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The removal of Aadhaar as DoB proof applies to both existing and new EPFO members.
