Unique Identification Authority of India, the government body that issues a unique 12-digit identification number (Aadhar number) to each individual in India has now is now toiling to simplify the e-KYC process using Aadhar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has introduced “Paperless Offline e-KYC<\/a>” feature within the mAadhaar app. For the uninitiated, this app facilitates many Aadhar related functionalities which include authentication, finding enrolment centers, and accessing services like EID\/UID retrieval, Aadhar Download, biometric authentication, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Streamlining Customer Verification by mAadhaar’s Paperless Offline e-KYC<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through e-KYC, organizations verify the identity and authenticity of customers before dealing with them. To ensure the same, prior to the now e-KYC, organizations would vet through the multiple documents that they collected from the customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using the new feature introduced by the UIDAI, users can generate documents using the mAadhaar app’s Paperless Offline e-KYC feature to enable the offline verification. As per the government body, offline e-KYC can be used for offline identity verification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Use Paperless Offline e-KYC on mAadhaar: A Step-by-Step Guide<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To access the Paperless Offline e-KYC feature in the mAadhaar app:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Download or update the mAadhaar app from the Play Store or Apple App Store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Log in using the registered phone number and the OTP received on the phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Navigate to the Services tab at the bottom bar and locate Paperless Offline e-KYC (the last option under “Aadhaar Services”).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Tap on it and enter the Aadhaar number, Share Code, and Security Captcha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Tap on the “Request OTP” button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Enter the OTP and press the “Verify” button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. You will now see the “Share ekyc” button. Tap on it and select the app through which you want to share the eKYC documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To share the e-KYC for offline verification:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mAadhaar app instructs that the generated .zip file, along with the “Share Code” and the registered mobile number, can be shared with the organization or service provider for offline verification.
