During the last two years, the worth of the Jindal Group which is Chaired by Savitri Jindal has reached new heights at $12 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Jindal Group continued its expansion by having stakes in steel producer JSW Steel and many other companies which are involved in mining, power generation, industrial gasses and port facilities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a recent update, Savitri Jindal<\/a> occupied the 61st position on the billionaire list. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is the richest woman in India according to Forbes Billionaires list 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It seems that Savitri Jindal’s net worth has overtaken software tycoon Azim Premji of Wipro, as it has dropped to $24 billion last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

73 years old, Savitri Jindal was born on March 20, 1950, Savitri Jindal in Tinsukia town of upper Assam. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later on she got married to Mr Om Prakash Jindal during the 1970s, who became the founder of the Jindal Group, a steel and power conglomerate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OP Jindal was a member of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha from the Hisar constituency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has also held a minister position in the Haryana Government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During 2005, Savitri Jindal at the age of 55 had taken over her husband’s chair after his death in a helicopter crash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She seemed to find herself in a whole new world as a politician, social activist and billionaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That too at the age when mostly gray-haired people plan to retire from their worldly duty. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, these group’s companies are divided among their four sons, who now run them independently, said Forbes.

Out of these companies, the biggest assets of the group are looked after by her Mumbai-based son Sajjan, who runs JSW Steel, among many others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jindal Steel & Power is managed by her other Delhi-based son, Naveen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides this, Savitri Jindal also serves as the president of Agroha\u2019s Maharaja Agrasen Medical College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Considering the politics background, Savitri Jindal contested from the Hisar constituency on a Congress ticket from where she won twice During 2005 & 2009.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result, she became a minister in the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government twice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While serving her tenure, she held the portfolios of minister of state for revenue, disaster management, rehabilitation and housing in 2006 and minister for urban local bodies in 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, She lost the seat during the 2014 elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the past few years, Jindal’s net worth has ballooned to $9.6 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Savitri said ‘women in the Jindal family remain in charge of the house while men take care of everything outside, ‘<\/p>\n\n\n\n

during her speech when she entered 10 top clubs in 2021 as her net worth touched $18 billion that year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2022 witnessed her net worth soared from $4.8 billion to $17.7 billion and $25 billion this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
