In a latest update<\/a>, a Gurgaon-based company is making waves by offering its employees a unique remedy for the national disappointment of India’s heart-breaking defeat in the ODI World Cup final, just hours after social media erupted calling today the \u2018Mondayest Monday\u2019 ever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To deal with this disappointment, Marketing Moves and Marketing Moves Agency has granted a one-day leave for its workforce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So that they can recover from the emotional toll of the cricketing defeat amid scores of sulking fans wishing their offices gave them an off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The news was shared by Diksha Gupta who took to LinkedIn, a key player in the agency’s major World Cup campaigns. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She reflected on the collective heartbreak of 1.4 billion people as Team India fell short of lifting the coveted World Cup Trophy on the fateful night of November 19, 2023, in a post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Symbol Of Understanding & Support<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Gupta, they still had never-ending energy, despite the challenging nature of their work during the World Cup, where several projects and countless meetings defined their routine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She further wrote, \u201c20+ projects, 25+ days, and 90+ meetings look easy when it comes to the World Cup. I did not know where this energy came from but all I can say is that this was the World Cup Cricket Fever. It was tough for me and our team as well to cope with this loss after being entirely engrossed in the World Cup campaigns.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, in a pleasant twist, a message from her boss, Chirag Alawadhi and an email rallied by the HR, brought the news of a one-day leave as a gesture of understanding and support in the face of national disappointment the day after the loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further Gupta said, \u201cIt was a surprise that none of us could believe until the official email arrived. Well, this one-day relaxation is not just a morale booster, it’s an opportunity to recover from the loss, regain mental stability, and return to work with renewed energy and spirit.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the post, two photos showed screenshots of the announcement of the day off and another message from the boss on WhatsApp and the email from HR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While sharing this news with the employees, Riya Ahuja, the HR professional has emphasized the company’s commitment to prioritizing employee well-being, tagging Gupta\u2019s post on LinkedIn. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This initiative not only promotes productivity but also fosters a value-driven culture, ensuring a motivated and resilient workforce, Ahuja noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This all started when India’s sensational, undefeated run at the tournament ended in crushing fashion after the Men in Blue lost by six wickets to now six-time champions Australia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
