{"id":1275522,"date":"2023-11-13T06:10:29","date_gmt":"2023-11-13T00:40:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/?p=1275522"},"modified":"2023-11-13T06:11:02","modified_gmt":"2023-11-13T00:41:02","slug":"kia-will-unleash-3-new-cars-in-2024-under-kia-2-0-strategy-for-indian-market-check-full-details","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/kia-will-unleash-3-new-cars-in-2024-under-kia-2-0-strategy-for-indian-market-check-full-details\/","title":{"rendered":"Kia Will Unleash 3 New Cars In 2024 Under Kia 2.0 Strategy For Indian Market: Check Full Details"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Kia is set to launch new products in the calendar year ahead as part of its \u201cKia 2.0 strategy\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"465\" src=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/Untitled-design-4-4.png\" alt=\"Kia Will Unleash 3 New Cars In 2024 Under Kia 2.0 Strategy For Indian Market: Check Full Details\" class=\"wp-image-1275909\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/Untitled-design-4-4.png 1000w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/Untitled-design-4-4-300x140.png 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/Untitled-design-4-4-768x357.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In particular, it will be launching three new vehicles in the SUV and MUV category in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Sonet facelift<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Along the lines of the Seltos facelift introduced a few months ago, Kia has planned a minor facelift for the Sonet compact SUV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to some leaks, the carmaker has revised the front fascia with new LED headlamps, grille, and bumper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The rear gets tweaked LED tail lamps with an LED connecting bar, much like the Venue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The interior cabin is expected to largely remain the same aside from new features like a powered driver\u2019s seat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There won&#8217;t be any changes to the powertrain lineup, which includes a 1.2-liter 83 PS petrol, 1.0-liter 120 PS turbocharged petrol, and 1.5-liter 115 PS diesel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>All-new Kia Carnival<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Kia is finally bringing the fourth-generation Carnival to India in 2024, after being put up for sale in other major global markets since 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adding to the good news is the fact that Kia will bring the most recent facelifted version of the fourth-gen Carnival, which was unveiled just a few days ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The heavily updated Kia Carnival will be available with a range of petrol engines globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the India-specific version will retain the 2.2-liter diesel engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>All-new Kia EV9<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With its foothold in the premium EV segment, Kia will launch the new flagship all-electric SUV, the EV9, in India towards the end of next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is roughly the size of the Mahindra XUV700 and comes with a futuristic design language and unique features such as a 180-degree rotating second row of seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is to be positioned above the EV6 electric crossover and will be offered with both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is globally available with two battery options \u2013 76.1kWh (Standard) and 99.8kWh (Long-Range).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, it is not known which one of the two will make its way to India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Further plans<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kia is also planning an MPV (\u201cRV\u201d in Kia\u2019s terminology), which will be offered with both internal combustion and electric vehicle versions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This product is expected to fill in the gap between the Carens and Carnival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It will compete against the other three-row vehicles in this space, in particular the Toyota Innova Hycross and Mahindra XUV700.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company has made it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cartoq.com\/kia-motors-to-launch-3-new-cars-in-2024-details\/\">clear <\/a>its focus will lie straight on SUVs and MPVs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Going by that, it likely won&#8217;t launch any hatchback or sedan in India.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kia is set to launch new products in the calendar year ahead as part of its \u201cKia 2.0 strategy\u201d.
