{"id":1275493,"date":"2023-11-02T10:33:35","date_gmt":"2023-11-02T05:03:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/?p=1275493"},"modified":"2023-11-02T10:34:11","modified_gmt":"2023-11-02T05:04:11","slug":"infosys-orders-these-employees-to-work-atleast-10-days-in-office-work-from-home-will-end-in-infosys","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/infosys-orders-these-employees-to-work-atleast-10-days-in-office-work-from-home-will-end-in-infosys\/","title":{"rendered":"Infosys Orders These Employees To Work Atleast 10 Days In Office: Work From Home Will End In Infosys?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Infosys has asked its entry and mid-level employees in certain verticals to report to the office at least 10 days a month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is part of its strategy to bolster its return-to-office (RTO) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiatoday.in\/technology\/news\/story\/infosys-ends-work-from-home-for-lower-level-employees-asks-them-to-come-to-office-for-10-days-a-month-2456579-2023-11-01\">approach <\/a>and embrace a hybrid work model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/infosys-1280x720-1-1024x576-1024x576-1.jpeg\" alt=\"Infosys Orders These Employees To Work Atleast 10 Days In Office: Work From Home Will End In Infosys?\" class=\"wp-image-1275502\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/infosys-1280x720-1-1024x576-1024x576-1.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/infosys-1280x720-1-1024x576-1024x576-1-300x169.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/infosys-1280x720-1-1024x576-1024x576-1-768x432.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>TCS approach<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This comes after fellow IT major <a href=\"https:\/\/www.news18.com\/business\/tcs-wfh-work-from-home-news-latest-tata-consultancy-services-8597417.html\"><strong>Tata Consultancy Services<\/strong><\/a> (TCS) also asked its employees to be present in the office for all five days a week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In September, in an internal communication managers across different divisions at TCS instructed its employees to be present in the office for five days each week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also reportedly plans to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.news18.com\/amp\/business\/infosys-asks-entry-mid-level-employees-to-work-from-office-at-least-10-days-a-month-8643284.html?utm_campaign=fullarticle&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_source=inshorts\">discontinue <\/a>hybrid work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Affected employees<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At Infosys, employees at the entry to mid-level positions have been informed accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs we move to strengthen our return to office (RTO) approach and hybrid work model, I urge you to work from office for a minimum of 10 days in the month, starting Nov 20, 2023,&#8221; reads an email sent by one of the vice presidents to employees in the band 5 and 6 in select verticals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Employees in band-5 and 6 include mid-level managers, project heads, and entry-level employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The email stated that it is applicable to \u201cemployees in India locations&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In Person Collaboration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The email introduced the concept of &#8220;In Person Collaboration&#8221; weeks, during which all employees will be required to operate from the office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It stressed the importance of face-to-face collaboration which is critical for effective teamwork and employee well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, it also acknowledged that there has to be a balance between remote work flexibility and increased in-person interaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Not abandoning remote work yet?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs we work in the hybrid landscape, it is also imperative that we further step up our physical proximity with our teams and colleagues, while also retaining the flexibility of remote work.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I also wish to emphasise that in-person presence and participation of teams are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiatoday.in\/technology\/news\/story\/infosys-ends-work-from-home-for-lower-level-employees-asks-them-to-come-to-office-for-10-days-a-month-2456579-2023-11-01\">critical <\/a>to our work and our occupational wellbeing,&#8221; the Infosys email said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apart from TCS and Infosys, other IT companies including Wipro, LTIMindtree and Capgemini are also encouraging their employees to return to office on a more regular basis.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Infosys has asked its entry and mid-level employees in certain verticals to report to the office at least 10 days a month.
