Apple said it will hold a special event named “Scary Fast” on Oct. 30, the day of Halloween. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In its event invite sent on October 24, Apple said, \u201cYou\u2019re invited to watch a special Apple event online. Tune in at Apple.com.\u201d The event would kick off at 5:00 pm (PT), which means 5:30 am (IST) on October 31. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do we expect?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new 24-inch iMac based on a new M3 processor might be on the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apple released the M1 iMac in May 2021 but is yet to update it with the M2 chip that can be found in theMacBook, Mac Mini, Mac Studio and Mac Pro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The general public is expecting <\/a>a spec update but not much in terms of design, interestingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why the Macbook though?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This September saw the release of the new Apple Pencil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Won’t be the iPhone either since obviously it was launched very recently and no new iPads either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which leaves us with Macs as the most obvious candidate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The product would skip the M2-line chips and feature the M3 series chipset instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This makes sense since <\/a>the \u201cScary Fast\u201d tagline is a possible indication of the new chip. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, these are not expected to launch until early 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Pro version<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A larger “Pro” version of the iMac with a 32-inch display is also in the works and would reportedly arrive in either 2024 or 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apple is also working on the 11th generation iPad, seventh-generation iPad mini, and the sixth-generation iPad Air likely to arrive next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Siri with AI<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another expectant is an AI-integrated version of Siri which would roll out as soon as next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The AI features might include <\/a>more effective auto complete sentences using Siri and Messages app, auto-generated playlists in Apple Music and AI-based writing assistant in apps like Pages and keynote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New iMac model<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This June it had launched <\/a>a larger MacBook Air with the new M2 chip at $1,299, a year after the company upgraded the 13-inch MacBook Air with the same processor, so the new event probably indicates an upgrade in terms of processor speed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
