A crucial aspect of this “best self” is the adherence to a dress code. TCS<\/a> believes it’s necessary to remind freshers that the days of wearing casual attire like shorts and T-shirts while working from home are behind them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a recent communication to its employees, Milind Lakkad, the Chief Human Resource Officer, expressed the company’s anticipation of having all associates working in the office on regular working days. Many of these associates have joined TCS over the past two years and have been operating in a virtual or hybrid capacity. TCS sees it as their responsibility to ensure seamless integration, and working from the office is essential to internalize TCS values and practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dressing for Success – TCS Enforces Dress Code to Instill Professionalism<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lakkad emphasized the importance of professionalism in the workplace, including the way employees dress and present themselves, both for the organization and its stakeholders globally. TCS’s dress code policy provides clear guidelines on the appropriate attire for official responsibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As per TCS’s dress code policy, associates are expected to wear business casual attire such as tucked-in full-sleeved shirts with trousers (for men) and business dresses (for women) from Monday to Thursday. For specific formal events like seminars, summits, and client visits, business formals are required. On Fridays, the policy allows for smart casuals, which include half-sleeved shirts, turtlenecks, khakis\/chinos, and kurtis with salwars (for women), among other options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Analysts note that many freshers who have joined IT companies over the past 2-3 years have little to no experience working in an office environment and may need to become familiar with formal office attire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
