WhatsApp has introduced a new interface on Android which notably excludes the app\u2019s green-colour bar in the main chat area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new design might resemble Google’s Material Design 3 guidelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As per WABetaInfo<\/strong><\/a>, WhatsApp is all set to roll the update for beta users for Android 2.23.21.12 update.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New group chat feature<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier it revealed it was working on a new group chat feature as a reminder system for community chats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This update will be initially available to a limited number of beta users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It includes revamped icons enhancing the overall appeal of the platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further, WhatsApp is updating the theme colour for both dark and light modes including chat bubbles and floating action buttons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Custom password for protected chats<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is also reportedly planning to roll out a custom password feature for protected chat folders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Users can enter this code in the search bar to access locked chats and configure it for companion devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WABetaInfo reports plans to introduce a feature that will enable users to set a custom password for their protected chat folder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is designed to enhance the security of sensitive conversations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Users will have the option to enter this secret code in the app’s search bar to gain access to their locked chats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Secret code option<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, configuring a secret code is expected to allow users to lock chats from their companion devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The update is being introduced through the Google Play Beta program, specifically in the 2.23.21.9 beta version<\/strong><\/a> for Android.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It should be noted <\/a>that this feature is not available to testers and is anticipated to be included in a forthcoming app update.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
