In a post on the microblogging platform X, Springworks CEO Kartik Mandaville revealed that the total cost of the Jaipur offsite amounted to Rs 4,085,698. He mentioned this to emphasize<\/a> that their decision to embrace remote work is not driven solely by financial considerations. Instead, it is about offering employees a better quality of life where work is just one part of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mandaville’s tweet was in response to an employee’s post expressing concerns about Springworks spending money every six months. The CEO used this as a counterargument to those who believe that companies go remote only to cut costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Springworks Embraces Remote Work and Fosters In-Person Connections through Offsite Events<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Springworks made the decision to prioritize remote work as its primary approach on May 6, 2020, shortly after the onset of the global lockdown triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The offsite gathering offers employees a chance to come together face-to-face, bridging the gap between virtual collaboration. Additionally, Mandaville has previously pointed out the advantages of remote work in terms of decreased exposure to environmental pollutants and the ability to spend more quality time with family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For their recent offsite in Jaipur, Springworks employees spent a weekend at the Jaipur Marriott Hotel. The company organized various activities, including a gala night, games, and team bonding exercises. This allowed the remote team to connect on a personal level, going beyond their usual Slack conversations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
