So, this year is also no exception, that too at a time when smartphones seem to have hit a saturation point, the iPhone 15 quartet \u2014 particularly, the top-of-the-line iPhone 15 Pro devices come with a slew of new features. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a main highlight, Apple launched India-built iPhone 15 units for purchase in India and other regions on the first day of sales, as per the media report<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event holds significance as this is the first time India-made iPhones arrived on the same day as iPhones manufactured in China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the most welcome changes is USB-C charging.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, Apple has done away with its trademark Lighting cable and opted for a more universal USB-C charging. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was the much expected change considering the new EU regulations on charging standards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This also makes it more convenient as there is no need to carry multiple chargers on a short business trip. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This also bumps up data transfer speeds (20x according to Apple) with support for USB 3 p, a feature which is not unique to the iPhone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are 9 new features that are being introduced for the first time on the iPhone 15 series as it has hit retail shelves in India along with key global market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

iPhone 15 Pro Series With Titanium Build<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was first showcased in the Apple Watch Ultra in 2022. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In similar manners, the new iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max feature a lightweight yet strong titanium design. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we already know that Titanium is used in spacecraft and has one of the highest strength-to-weight ratios of any metal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n


With this design, the new Pro twins appear to be 10 percent lighter than their predecessors and feel much nicer in your hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following The Philosophy of Go Green<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apple iPhone 15 Pro lineup features fine Woven cases and wallet with Magsafe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notably, its lightweight titanium design encases a new substructure that\u2019s made with 100 percent recycled aluminum. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This seems to be one of many moves that Apple has adopted to meet its carbon neutrality goals by 2030. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to this, we also saw the debut of Apple\u2019s first carbon-neutral product \u2014 the Apple Watch Series 9 in September. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, the iPhone 15 devices also come with a battery with 100 percent recycled cobalt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides this, the iPhone maker has also ditched its leather back cases for a new woven fabric case made with 68 percent post-consumer recycled content that has significantly lower carbon emissions compared to leather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Introduction Of Action Button<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are already witnessing smartphones with a dedicated camera key, but Apple has taken it further with the introduction of an Action Button. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And why not  as it was one of our favorite features on the 2022 Apple Watch Ultra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now it will be replacing the mute switch on the iPhone 15 Pro versions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact, it is a handy hot key that can be configured as a shortcut for functions that you use on a regular basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This feature can be utilized as a camera quick launch key.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Supporting Qi2 Wireless Charging<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note that these new iPhones aren\u2019t officially Qi2-certified yet but they become the first phones to ship with the new Qi2 wireless charging standard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bascall, this new update adds an additional ring of magnets to ensure proper alignment of charging coils. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This could also result in faster wireless charging speeds for the new iPhones. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strengthening With The A17 Pro Chip<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The A17 Pro is the industry\u2019s first 3-nanometer chip that speeds up device performance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further, it is used at the heart of the iPhone 15 Pro\/ Pro Max and is the biggest GPU redesign in Apple\u2019s history. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not only that, this pro-class GPU is up to 20 percent faster and unlocks entirely new experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It features a new 6-core design that increases peak performance and energy efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smartphone With Console Gaming<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The smartphone maker has already showed off the capabilities of the new processor and hardware-accelerated ray tracing (which is 4x faster than software-based ray tracing) at its Wanderlust event where the 2023 iPhones were first unveiled. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the similar fashion, the iPhone 15 Pro twins will see the debut of console titles (like Resident Evil Village and Assassin\u2019s Creed Mirage) for the first time on a smartphone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Featuring 4K 60 FPS Waw Video Recording<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this launch, some of the biggest updates on the iPhone 15 devices are around the camera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To start with, Apple has increased the base storage variant of the Pro Max (it\u2019s now 256GB).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 This was necessary too, as the individual will need that extra storage if they plan to shoot Raw videos on 4K 60 FPS. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plus, it gives a greater control if you\u2019re a pro videographer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Industry First 24MP Super-high-resolution Default<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this feature, Apple finds the balance between image quality and a practical file size (for storing and sharing) with a new 24MP super-high-resolution default size, again an industry first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its 48MP main camera is backed with the power of computational photography and shoots terrific images at a high resolution. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also comes with the new feature where you can snap portrait images without having to switch to Portrait Mode. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It can simply turn these photos into portraits with a tap to focus option if there\u2019s a person (or even a dog or cat in the frame).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Showcasing Tetra Prism Design<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we know, the Zoom photography has become one of the new battlegrounds for flagship smartphones. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Achieving the same, the 12MP telephoto lens on the iPhone 15 Pro Max features a 5x zoom at 120 mm that\u2019s great for wildlife images and also catching sporting action from a distance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
