When it comes to India, the car prices are slightly on the higher side. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But what if the same trends follow in India! Yes we\u2019re talking about Tata Motors Nexon facelift<\/a> in the highly competitive sub 4m SUV segment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Considering the nearing launch, Tata Motors seems to have revealed the starting price of its upcoming Nexon facelift ahead of its September 14th launch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a response to user darshancsk1 regarding the price on Tata Nexon official Instagram handle,  it has given the details which Tata Nexon Instagram has deleted later on. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not to worry as screenshots were already taken and Hat tip to automotive enthusiast Sharman D\u2019Souza for sharing this update.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this comment, a Tata Nexon official said, \u201cHi, thank you for connecting with us. The ex-showroom price of the Tata Nexon starts from Rs. 7.39 lakh*.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In case you are wondering whether Tata quoted ex-showroom price of current Nexon\u2019s base XE petrol MT, that is not the case. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The base XE petrol MT was priced at Rs. 8 lakh (ex-sh), As per last pricing update for Nexon in July 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note here that this could be a mistake from someone at Tata Nexon instagram handle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, it’s better to take this leaked price with a pinch of salt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand, if this comes true then not only is Tata breaking the stereotype of increasing price with every update.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, making its own new trend by lowering base price by Rs. 61,000 (ex-sh). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This pricing strategy could be possible with the help of a less expensive 5-speed manual gearbox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to this, there was speculation that Tata will retain the Rs. 8 lakh (ex-sh) price for the base model with a 5-speed manual gearbox. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But with this latest revelation, there seems to be a Rs. 61,000 decrease in base price. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is very impressive, considering Tata is offering 6 airbags as standard fitment across the trim levels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides this the base Smart variant gets LED headlights, DRLs, tail lights, and drive modes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How Does This Affect The Rivals? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we know, the Nexon facelift is set to launch on 14th September. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During this event, Tata Motors will officially reveal variant-wise prices. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the leak suggests, if the Rs. 7.39 lakh (ex-sh) base price is true, then it could wreak havoc on the other sub 4m SUVs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This could totally change the game as Nexon is already the best-seller of this segment and with lower prices than before, that effect will be more pronounced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If we consider its rivals, Maruti Suzuki Brezza base price starts from Rs. 8.29 lakh, Hyundai Venue\u2019s from Rs. 7.77 lakh, Kia Sonnet\u2019s from Rs. 7.79 lakh and Mahindra XUV300 from Rs. 7.99 lakh (all prices ex-sh).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interestingly, the leaked Tata Nexon prices undercut Maruti Suzuki Fronx too, whose base price starts from Rs. 7.47 lakh (ex-sh). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It can not be denied that at this price, Tata Nexon boasts a superior powertrain as it offers a turbo-petrol engine right from the base variant. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
