According to a LinkedIn report, India is among the top 5 countries with fastest-growing AI talent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Countries with fastest rate of adoption<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It reported that the number of Linkedin profiles citing skills in artificial intelligence (AI) has grown<\/a> 14 times in the last seven years in India, putting it among the top five in the world with fastest-growing talent for the technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

India, Singapore, Finland, Ireland and Canada have the fastest rate of AI skills adoption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adoption of these skills goes beyond technology to a range of industries that include retail, education and financial services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AI usage in organisations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the past year, 43 per cent of the Indian workforce has seen an increase in usage of AI in their organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This growth has led to 60 per cent of all workers and 71 per cent of Generation Z professionals acknowledge the role of acquiring AI skills in their career prospects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Importance of soft skills<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart from these technical skills, Indians also placed strong importance on soft skills such as creativity and communications, particularly in the age of AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Around 91 per cent of top executives recognise this, surpassing the global average of 72 per cent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A majority of the Indian workforce agrees with this sentiment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7 in 10 (69 per cent) professionals believe that soft skills such as creativity and problem solving allow them to bring a fresh perspective to work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Processions where AI has biggest impact<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The top professions which were augmented by having skills in generative AI are Software engineer (96 per cent), customer service representative (76 per cent), and salesperson (59 per cent).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand, oil field operators (1 per cent), environmental health safety specialists (3 per cent), and nurses (6 per cent) are professions with the least augmentable skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AI-driven hiring<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report said half of India’s top executives aim to upskill or hire for AI talent in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, 57 per cent of executives are planning to increase AI use in their organisations next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
