Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has inaugurated the first-of-its-kind exclusive examination complex in Kumhrar area of the state capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Named \u2018Bapu Pariksha Parisar\u2019 (Bapu Examination Complex) after Mahatma Gandhi, it has been developed at a cost of more than Rs 261 crore spanning a plot of around six acres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Capabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is the country’s biggest examination complex with seating capacity of around 25,000 examinees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over 16,600 students can write their papers here at the same time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are also arrangements <\/a>to conduct online assessments with a seating capacity of 3,500.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bapu Pariksha Parisar will be used to hold examinations conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission, Bihar Staff Selection Commission, Bihar Technical Services Commission and other such bodies throughout the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is in addition to the secondary and higher secondary board examinations which it will host. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Features<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is well equipped to ensure zero cheating by making it difficult to attempt the same, using CCTV cameras, cell phone jammers and webcasting facility to check use of unfair means.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main building has two blocks where all necessary arrangements have been made to hold different kinds of examinations of 20,000 to 25,000 examinees at a time in both offline and online mode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe have been trying for a long time to construct a big examination complex in Patna where a large number of examinees can participate in examinations at a time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This examination complex has now been completed. Different types of examinations can be held in this complex every day. I am very happy as this complex has been built as per my suggestions”, the chief minister said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CM oversees facility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe examination complex was constructed to make the state\u2019s examination system more excellent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Such modern arrangements have been made in the complex that there would be no difficulty in holding any kind of examination\u201d, he said in a media interaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the event, the CM proceeded to inspect the six-storied main building by visiting different halls on its first and fifth floors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He inquired about the arrangements made for examinees at the complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enhanced security<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The facility has 44 large examination halls and 12 residential quarters for the officials posted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also includes in-house accommodation for 28 men and 28 women security personnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Future plans<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The education board\u2019s second-phase reforms include a computer-based online examination center-cum-computer training center which will be established in all 9 divisional headquarters of the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Examination halls are planned to be set up in the rest of 29 districts and strong rooms to be set up in all 38 districts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The campus will house an additional <\/a>block from the existing two five-storeyed blocks, which will increase the seating capacity to 20,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
