Ola Electric unveiled four concept electric motorcycles on Independence Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four new categories<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

These e-bikes have been categorised as Diamondhead, Adventure, Roadster, and Cruiser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO of Ola Electric said that the company plans to expand its portfolio under each of these categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bikes are currently in the prototype stage with production beginning next year in a phased manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pre-booking<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Launch will take place by end-2024 and pre reservations have commenced today, at a token amount of Rs.999.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visit the official website of Ola Electric and navigate to the Electric Bike Segment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click on Explore More, and select from the four electric bikes by going to the Reserve section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diamondhead<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Diamondhead will be the company’s flagship <\/a>motorcycle, built especially for the super sports biker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It gets a diamond-shaped front fascia and features a horizontal LED strip, a hidden LED headlamp pod, and low-slung clip-ons. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At its unveiling, the CEO said, “It will truly define <\/a>what super sports biking is across the world. The future of motorcycling will be built in India”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adventure<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Adventure concept caters to adventure enthusiasts who venture adventurous roads and hilly terrains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It features light pods with a LED DRL at the front, tall mirrors, and gets a good ground clearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The primary wheel is 19 inches and the rear is 17 inches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roadster<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Roadster is suitable for street use, such as daily commutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It features a headlamp with a LED strip and a small windscreen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The design includes flowing elements around the charger cowling, tall clip-ons and turn indicators placed on extensions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This particular bike seems to be ahead <\/a>of the other three in terms of production, since it was spotted being driven by the OLA team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cruiser<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cruiser is designed with flowing lines running across the body and built with the open road in mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It gets an LED headlamp and DRL, a digital instrument console, a long fuel tank and LED tail-lamp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It accommodates only the rider, with no support for the pillion rider. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It offers an approximate <\/a>range of 200-250 km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New products launched<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aside from the four futuristic concepts, the company has also launched the S1X and S1X+ electric scooters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The S1 X will be available in two variants with a claimed range of 150 kilometres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The upgrade features a lighter and more efficient battery pack, better thermal performance and enhanced safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It gets an introductory price of Rs 89,999 until <\/a>August 21, after which it will sell for Rs 99,999.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adopting electric<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the independence day event, Aggarwal said that the electric two-wheeler penetration in India has grown from less than 2 percent to around 20 percent over the past two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Two years ago, nobody was thinking about EVs in India. There was skepticism about the EV market in the country. Today, the EV penetration in scooters is more than 20 percent in India,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further announced that India’s EV revolution has just started, highlighting its significant role not just for the environment, but for the price conscious consumer as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Buying EV is not just good for the environment, it is good for the wallet as well. The EV revolution is a disruption led by technology, and the way we make India a global EV hub is by leading in technologies of the future”, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
