is inspired by the peak of the gold window frame, &#8220;signifies limitless possibilities, progressiveness and the airline&#8217;s bold new outlook.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new logo will be seen by the end of December this year, that is when Air India&#8217;s first Airbus A350 will enter the aircraft fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its latest livery and design features a palette of deep red, aubergine with gold highlights, having a chakra-inspired pattern.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On this occasion, the Air India CEO, Campbell Wilson said, &#8220;Our transformative new brand reflects an ambition to make Air India a world-class airline serving guests from around the globe, and that represents a new India proudly on the global stage,&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adding, &#8220;The new Air India is bold, confident, and vibrant, but also warm and deeply rooted to its rich history and traditions that make Indian hospitality a global benchmark for standards in service.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The iconic &#8216;Maharaja&#8217; of Air India, which has been central to Air India&#8217;s identity will live on but with added color to its look, he noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moving ahead, Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran said, &#8220;Air India is not just a business for us, it&#8217;s a passion, a national mission.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier, the airline was in news for signing purchase agreements for 470 new aircraft from Airbus and Boeing in a $70 billion deal and the deliveries will begin by November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A Lot To Look Forward<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Air India signed the purchase agreement in June this year on the sidelines of the Paris Air Show.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The order comprises 34 A350-1000, six A350-900, 20 Boeing 787 Dreamliners and 10 Boeing 777X widebody aircraft, as well as 140 Airbus A320neo, 70 Airbus A321neo and 190 Boeing 737MAX narrowbody aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Air India\u2019s new persona with new logo and new aircraft livery reflect the changes in Air India.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airline&#8217;s fleet is not far behind as they are also&nbsp; undergoing a transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apart from this, the airline is leasing and buying 20 widebody aircraft this year, according to Mr Wilson.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airline plans to completely refurbish the interiors of its legacy fleet of 43 widebody aircraft, which commences mid-2024, underits $400 million programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is expected&nbsp; to undergo several changes including a new website and mobile app, offering a significantly improved web experience with new digital tools and features.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides this, the airline is also investing in building completely new lounges at Delhi and New York JFK airports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a recent development, Air India found hiring over 5,000 new people, including 3,200 Cabin crew and nearly 1,000 Cockpit crew.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In its five-year transformation roadmap under Vihaan.AI, Air India is going to become a world-class airline.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/world-asia-india-66458484\">Image <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This Thursday witnessed the country&#8217;s largest international carrier, Air India unveiling a new brand identity and new aircraft livery for itself.
