{"id":1261689,"date":"2023-08-05T05:03:58","date_gmt":"2023-08-04T23:33:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/?p=1261689"},"modified":"2023-08-05T05:04:34","modified_gmt":"2023-08-04T23:34:34","slug":"every-citizen-in-maharashtra-will-get-free-healthcare-services-across-all-govt-hospitals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/every-citizen-in-maharashtra-will-get-free-healthcare-services-across-all-govt-hospitals\/","title":{"rendered":"Every Citizen In Maharashtra Will Get Free Healthcare Services Across All Govt Hospitals"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Very soon, each and every citizen from Maharashtrian will be provided with <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/news\/india\/maharashtra-to-provide-free-health-treatments-in-government-hospitals\/articleshow\/102401571.cms?from=mdr\">free of cost treatments<\/a> in the government hospitals.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"465\" src=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Untitled-design-11-1-1-1.jpg\" alt=\"Every Citizen In Maharashtra Will Get Free Healthcare Services Across All Govt Hospitals\" class=\"wp-image-1261707\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Untitled-design-11-1-1-1.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Untitled-design-11-1-1-1-300x140.jpg 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Untitled-design-11-1-1-1-768x357.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Free Health Treatments In Government Hospitals In Maharashtra<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This decision of providing the free of cost treatment has been taken in the cabinet meeting today by the state Health Minister Tanaji Sawant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to this, Maharashtra became the first state to provide free and cashless insurance protection to its people in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During that time, the State Health Minister Rajesh Tope announced that all citizens will be covered under the state government&#8217;s health scheme, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of this policy, the Maharashtra government has decided to make medical tests and treatment at public hospitals free of cost.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This decision was taken in the state cabinet meeting which gave its nod to the Right To Health.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How To Avail These Services?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under this scheme, the free treatment will be made available in Primary Health Centres, Rural Hospitals, Women&#8217;s Hospitals, District General Hospitals, Upazila Hospital, Super Specialty Hospitals, and Cancer Hospitals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a media report, an official said,&#8221;Primary health centers, rural hospitals, women hospitals, district general hospitals and super speciality hospitals will treat patients free of cost in the state.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The official said that the Cancer hospitals in Nashik and Amravati will also offer the treatment free of cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This scheme, which is likely to be launched on August 15, will offer free-of-cost facilities at 2,418 hospitals and medical centers run by the state government under the scheme.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over 25.5 million people avail treatment in these facilities, according to the government officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note here that the decision will not be applicable to hospitals and medical colleges under the Medical Education department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Health Minister Sawant chaired the meeting which was attended by Service Commissioner Dhiraj Kumar, Health Services Director Dr. Swapnil Lale, Law and Justice Department, Social Welfare Department Joint Secretary Ashok Atram, Smile Plus Foundation Founder President Yogesh Malkhare, and other officers of the Home Department and Health Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Maharashtra government announced a free health insurance scheme to all its citizens amid the coronavirus outbreak and it was the first state in India to take such an initiative.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Very soon, each and every citizen from Maharashtrian will be provided with free of cost treatments in the government hospitals.&nbsp; Free Health Treatments In Government Hospitals In Maharashtra This decision of providing the free of cost treatment has been taken in the cabinet meeting today by the state Health Minister Tanaji Sawant.
