X (formerly Twitter) introduced its new ads revenue sharing program for select creators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kicking things off<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program was in development for some time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Owner Elon Musk first announced it in February, saying that the revenue share kicked off \u201cstarting today.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the program is still in its early stages, it could turn out to be a significant source of income for creators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They will receive 50% of the revenue generated from ads that appear in the replies to their tweets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Availability<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opportunity is available only to verified users who have paid for a blue checkmark, those in India included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those eligible will be able to share revenue from verified users’ impressions of ads displayed in replies to content they posted on the platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eligible creators from around the world can set up ads revenue sharing and creator subscriptions independently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The user should be subscribed to Blue or Verified Organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They must have at least 15 million impressions on the cumulative posts within the last three months and at least 500 followers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to set up<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After becoming eligible, the user will require a Stripe account for payment processing and payouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They can join and set up payments from within the Monetisation section of the X app, found in the side menu on iOS and Android, and the overflow menu on web.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After clicking \u2018Join and setup payouts\u2019, the creators will be redirected to Stripe to set up an account to receive their share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Payout<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The payouts will be received regularly as long as the revenue generated is more than $50.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the exact method X uses to calculate the payout value has not been disclosed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For creators who fulfill the requirements and set up their payout details, payments will begin from the week of July 31.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Caution<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is important to be aware that X reserves <\/a>the right to modify or cancel the program at any time, possibly due to business, financial, or legal reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the Ads Revenue Share Terms, including Creator Monetization Standards and the X Rules, is crucial to avoid being excluded from the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
