Honor is returning to India with the launch of a new smartphone, the Honor 90.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Past troubles<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The smartphone brand, which was a sub-brand of Huawei at the time, ran into trouble in the US when the government restricted Huawei from using Google services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reports suggested that Honor would leave the Indian smartphone market as well, but the company denied those claims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It continued to sell new products in India, although it shifted focus to smartwatches and tablets like the Honor Watch ES and the Honor Pad 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honor 9A was the last smartphone it released in India, a budget-friendly device priced below Rs 10,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

India return<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company’s India arm will be led by Realme\u2019s former CEO Madhav Sheth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although there has been no official confirmation, a trademark named “Honor for Knights” with Sheth’s name mentioned was discovered recently. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is accompanied by 15 employees along with a few top executives that have already joined HonorTech after leaving Realme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expected specs<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The model has already been released in China, but it is unclear if the Indian variant will differ from the global model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The premium smartphone comes with a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1,200 x 2,664 pixels) curved OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Camera<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It features a triple camera setup comprising an industry-leading 200MP primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the front is a 50MP selfie camera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Processor, battery<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is powered <\/a>by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset with up to 16GB of RAM. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 66W charging that can be charged using a USB Type-C port.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Price, competition<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As per a report by IANS (via Siasat), the Honor 90 will sell at around Rs 45,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was launched in China in three storage variants <\/a>\u2013 12GB+256GB, 16GB+256GB, and 16GB+512GB \u2013 priced at CNY 2,499 (approx Rs 28,705), CNY 2,799 (approx Rs 32,163), and CNY 2,999 (approx Rs 34,447), respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In India, it is expected to compete with the likes of the Google Pixel 7a, Nothing Phone 2, iQoo Neo 7 Pro, and OnePlus 11R.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

September arrival<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gaurav Chaudhary, also known as Technical Guruji, said <\/a>that the Honor 90 will be unveiled in India in September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
