Advisory is being issued\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/C63voyyoUt\">pic.twitter.com\/C63voyyoUt<\/a><\/p>&mdash; ANI (@ANI) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ANI\/status\/1679396834362671104?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 13, 2023<\/a><\/blockquote> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Transportation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Delhi government has <a href=\"https:\/\/www-telegraphindia-com.cdn.ampproject.org\/c\/s\/www.telegraphindia.com\/amp\/india\/non-essential-government-offices-school-colleges-to-remain-closed-in-delhi-till-july-16-delhi-disaster-management-authority\/cid\/1951776\">banned <\/a>the entry of heavy goods vehicles, barring those carrying essentials, in the city from four borders including Singhu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot said, &#8220;Entry of Heavy Goods Vehicles has been banned from Singhu Border, Badarpur Border, Loni Border and Chilla Border as a precautionary measure in view of abnormally rising water level of Yamuna River.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;On the other hand, interstate buses coming from Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand will stop at Singhu border instead of going to ISBT Kashmeri Gate,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is no restriction on vehicles carrying essential services such as food and petroleum products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Acute water shortage<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kejriwal announced the shutting down of water treatment plants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wazirabad, Chandrawal and Okhla water treatment plants were shut down, which could affect the water supply in the national capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The authorities warned citizens of a water crisis for 1-2 days and advised water rationing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CM <a href=\"https:\/\/www-hindustantimes-com.cdn.ampproject.org\/c\/s\/www.hindustantimes.com\/education\/news\/nonessential-govt-offices-schools-colleges-to-remain-closed-in-delhi-till-sunday-ddma-101689248177975-amp.html\">said<\/a>, &#8220;There is going to be an acute shortage of water since three treatment plants are closed. There could be a shortage of 25 per cent water so ration will have to be done.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Official statement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CM said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ANI\/status\/1679396834362671104?utm_campaign=fullarticle&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_source=inshorts\">statement<\/a>, &#8220;We had a DDMA meeting. Several important decisions were taken.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Schools, colleges &amp; universities will remain closed till Sunday.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All Govt offices, except those providing essential services, will have Work from Home.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Advisory is being issued for private offices too to Work for Home.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Water rationing will have to be done as 3 Water Treatment Plants are shut and people will face water crisis for a day or two.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heavy vehicles, except those providing essential services, that enter Delhi will not be allowed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There were issues of toilets and bathrooms at relief camps.
