Shivakumar listened to our demands and responded positively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If everything goes well, an order allowing hotels and restaurants to be open round-the-clock might be issued within a week or 10 days.&#8221; Association President PC Rao was quoted as saying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Positive impact<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The decision will benefit employees working night shifts, auto and cab drivers, and others who may require services during unconventional hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is also a positive step towards the ambitious Brand Bengaluru initiative which seeks to push the image of Bengaluru as a tech capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hotels exclusively for night hours<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bengaluru has over 24,000 small and large hotels, with approximately 10% of them ready to operate 24&#215;7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The association said there is interest among many establishments to open new hotels and restaurants which would operate exclusively during night hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Opposition from police<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With regards to security issues Rao <a href=\"https:\/\/www-newindianexpress-com.cdn.ampproject.org\/c\/s\/www.newindianexpress.com\/cities\/bengaluru\/2023\/jul\/09\/green-signal-soon-for-bengaluru-restaurants-to-run-round-the-clock-2592876.amphttps:\/\/www-newindianexpress-com.cdn.ampproject.org\/c\/s\/www.newindianexpress.com\/cities\/bengaluru\/2023\/jul\/09\/green-signal-soon-for-bengaluru-restaurants-to-run-round-the-clock-2592876.amp\">said<\/a>, \u201cShivakumar feels that our demand will help employees working night shifts, auto and cab drivers, and others.
