{"id":1246595,"date":"2023-06-19T07:40:24","date_gmt":"2023-06-19T02:10:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/?p=1246595"},"modified":"2023-06-19T07:41:00","modified_gmt":"2023-06-19T02:11:00","slug":"making-money-on-youtube-becomes-easy-for-new-content-creators-monetization-rules-relaxed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/making-money-on-youtube-becomes-easy-for-new-content-creators-monetization-rules-relaxed\/","title":{"rendered":"Making Money On Youtube Becomes Easy For New Content Creators: Monetization Rules Relaxed"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>YouTube will now allow smaller creators to benefit from the platform&#8217;s monetisation features in its YouTube Partner Program (YPP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/YouTube-Banner-1280x720-1-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"Making Money On Youtube Becomes Easy For New Content Creators: Monetization Rules Relaxed\" class=\"wp-image-1246711\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/YouTube-Banner-1280x720-1-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/YouTube-Banner-1280x720-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/YouTube-Banner-1280x720-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/YouTube-Banner-1280x720-1.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rollout<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It will be lowering the eligibility criteria for monetisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new eligibility conditions will come into effect next month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Initially, they will be available to creators in Canada, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Taiwan, and the United States, with a wider rollout planned for the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New conditions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new conditions for being eligible to monetise videos on YouTube are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have 500 subscribers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Three valid public uploads in 90 days<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Either 3,000 public watch hours in the past year&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Or three million valid public Shorts views in the last 90 days<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How it was earlier<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier it was only users with a minimum of 1,000 subscribers and either 4,000 watch hours in the past year or 10 million Shorts views in the last 90 days who could join the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The criteria for ad revenue sharing and YouTube Premium benefits will remain unchanged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Program benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once accepted into the program, creators will gain access to tools such as Super Thanks, Super Chat, and Super Stickers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With these they will be able to make money through their videos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They will also be able to utilize subscription tools like channel memberships and promote their own merchandise through YouTube Shopping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to sign up<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To sign up for the programme, eligible creators need to go to YouTube Studio and follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the left menu, select Earn.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select Apply Now to review and Accept the base terms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select Start to set up an AdSense account, users can also link an existing account if they have one.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Shopping affiliate programme open to all<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>YouTube has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbctv18.com\/technology\/youtube-will-now-allow-smaller-creators-to-monetise-their-content-on-the-platform-16927681.htm\">also <\/a>opened the Shopping affiliate programme that allows users to tag products featured in their videos from popular brands and retailers to all YPP creators in the US with at least 20,000 subscribers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was an invitation-only feature prior to this.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>YouTube will now allow smaller creators to benefit from the platform&#8217;s monetisation features in its YouTube Partner Program (YPP).
