After the long wait, finally, Honda has unveiled the much-awaited Elevate<\/a> in India. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honda Elevate Launch In India<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the first time that the mid-size SUV has been unveiled globally. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event held a great significance as <\/em>Honda Elevate will be the first-ever mid-size SUV from the Japanese automobile giant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 This new launch from Honda will take on cars like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and the likes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Japanese car manufacturer will start accepting the bookings for the new Elevate in July and launch will happen sometime during the festive season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notably, the new Honda Elevate is based on the same platform as the Honda City. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Honda, the brand will bring a battery-powered Elevate in the next three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Presently,  Honda only sells sedans in the Indian market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honda Elevate Specifications And Features<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to this new car, the Elevate looks like a typical Honda product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 It is offered with the signature Honda thick bar grille that extends to become the sleek headlamps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, the rear gets sleek tail lamps units as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In dimensions, the Elevate is 4.2 meters long, 1.65 meters tall and 1.79 m wide. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SUV comes with a ground clearance of 220mm, which is quite good for the Indian roads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For interiors, the new Honda Elevate is offered with features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 The car has wireless smartphone integration and the HD color TFT for the driver is 7-inch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The car maker is also offering Honda Sensing ADAS features including autonomous braking, adaptive cruise control and more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to safety, the car is loaded with active safety features like Lane Watch, Hill Climb Assist, Lane Keep Assist and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides this, it will be able to connect to Alexa and will offer connectivity options to Apple Watch and Android Watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elevate Engine Options<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At the moment, the new Elevate will officially come with only one engine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will have a 1.5-liter petrol engine, delivering 121 PS and 150 Nm of torque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Presently, the same engine is used in the Honda City mid-size sedan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Honda is likely to make adjustments to the power characteristics to better suit the SUV\u2019s form factor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For transmission options, they are likely to be similar to those available in the Honda City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thus, offering a choice between a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT gearbox, depending on the variant. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart from this, the car maker may also introduce hybrid variants of the Elevate in future as the company has already confirmed its plans to introduce an all-electric powertrain for the Elevate within the next three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
