While official power and torque specifications have not been disclosed yet, it is anticipated to surpass the performance of the Royal Enfield Classic 350, potentially delivering up to 40Nm of torque. The new Harley roadster will compete with motorcycles like the Royal Enfield 350s, Honda CB350 H\u2019ness, and various 300-400cc bikes, including the Apache RR 310 and the KTM 390 Duke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike Harley-Davidson&#8217;s traditional cruiser style, the X440 Roadster draws inspiration from the company&#8217;s old XR roadsters. It features a flat handlebar, ergonomic seating, and a sturdy design, targeting a younger demographic seeking an affordable Harley-Davidson experience. However, the overall appearance deviates from the visual identity commonly associated with Harley-Davidson in India, which could pose a risk for the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The design of the X440 includes a bold front end with a square-ish fuel tank, a one-piece seat flowing into the pillion section, and substantial grab rails on both sides. The bike is equipped with MRF tires sporting a retro tread pattern, with an 18-inch wheel at the front and a 17-inch wheel at the rear. It utilizes a tubular frame, an upside-down fork, and preload-adjustable twin shock absorbers for suspension. The motorcycle is equipped with a single disc brake at both ends and features dual-channel ABS as a standard safety feature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pricing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The expected price range for the X440 Roadster is between Rs. 2.5 lakh and Rs. 3 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it as one of the most affordable Harley-Davidson models to date. It will directly compete with models like the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Meteor 350, and the upcoming offering from the Bajaj-Triumph partnership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This launch signifies a significant move in Harley-Davidson&#8217;s strategy to expand its presence in India&#8217;s growing motorcycle market. The X440 Roadster paves the way for future collaborations between Harley Davidson and Hero MotoCorp in India.
