Check Top Specs, USPs Of Hyundai EXTER\" class=\"wp-image-1244746\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Untitled-design-2-7.png 1000w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Untitled-design-2-7-300x140.png 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Untitled-design-2-7-768x357.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Production, release<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officially named EXTER, this micro SUV is set to enter production by July-September 2023 with sales to commence from the upcoming festive season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It will be positioned in India between the Grand i10 and Venue in the company lineup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Size<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It will measure around 3.8 meters in length, making it the smallest Hyundai SUV on sale in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However it is still bigger than the Hyundai Casper \u2013 sold in South Korea that stands 3,595mm in length, 1,595mm in width and 1,575mm-1,605mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,400mm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Exterior<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Coming to design, the new model borrows some things from the Venue SUV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It will sport the Hyundai parametric front grille, split headlamps and LED DRLs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The DRLs will be in an \u2018H\u2019 pattern which are also seen on the soon to be launched Hyundai Santa Fe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It comes with strong character lines on its bonnet, 15 inch dual tone alloy wheels (lower variants could get steel wheels), angular tail lamps, scuff plates and a sunroof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Interior<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It will receive an electric single pane sunroof, connected car technology with wireless charger, wireless Apple CarPlay\/Android Auto and digital instrument cluster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Safety<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Features will also include ventilated seats, wireless charging and cruise control along with safety via 6 airbags.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Powertrain&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Exter SUV will borrow its engine lineup from the Venue, Grand i10 and Aura.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 1.2 liter VTVT NA petrol engine produces 82 hp power and 115 Nm torque, mated to a 5 speed manual or AMT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Top-spec variants could be powered by a 1.0 liter turbo-petrol unit making 99 bhp and 172 Nm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although not yet confirmed, Hyundai could also offer a CNG option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, there won\u2019t be any diesel engine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pricing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prices could be in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www-rushlane-com.cdn.ampproject.org\/c\/s\/www.rushlane.com\/amp\/hyundai-exter-is-the-name-of-upcoming-suv-12464455.html\">range <\/a>of Rs 6-11 lakh (ex-showroom).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon launch it will compete with Tata Punch, Maruti Suzuki Ignis and Citroen C3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It could also take on compact SUVs such as the Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cartoq.com\/hyundai-exter-is-the-name-of-the-latest-suv-to-take-on-tata-punch-and-maruti-fronx\/\">Image <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The new Hyundai micro SUV, codenamed Ai3 is set to arrive in India later this year.
