{"id":1244584,"date":"2023-04-15T11:52:26","date_gmt":"2023-04-15T06:22:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/?p=1244584"},"modified":"2023-04-15T11:53:06","modified_gmt":"2023-04-15T06:23:06","slug":"35-7-lakh-jobs-posted-on-national-career-service-platform-a-new-record-of-job-listings-in-india","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/35-7-lakh-jobs-posted-on-national-career-service-platform-a-new-record-of-job-listings-in-india\/","title":{"rendered":"35.7 Lakh Jobs Posted On National Career Service Platform: A New Record Of Job Listings In India!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On Tuesday, the labor ministry announced that as many as 35.7 lakh vacancies were registered on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outlookindia.com\/business\/national-career-service-portal-lists-record-35-7-lakh-vacancies-in-2022-23-labour-ministry-news-277692\/amp?utm_campaign=fullarticle&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_source=inshorts\">National Career Service (NCS)<\/a> in 2022-23, which is a record so far.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"465\" src=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Untitled-design-3-3.png\" alt=\"35.7 Lakh Jobs Posted On National Career Service Platform: A New Record Of Job Listings In India!\" class=\"wp-image-1244673\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Untitled-design-3-3.png 1000w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Untitled-design-3-3-300x140.png 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Untitled-design-3-3-768x357.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Transformation Of the National Employment Service<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this initiative, the Ministry of Labour and Employment is implementing the National Career Service (NCS) Project as a Mission Mode Project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative is for the transformation of the National Employment Service to provide a variety of employment-related services like job matching, career counseling, vocational guidance, information on skill development courses, internships etc.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the unawares, these services under NCS are available online as they are dedicated to the nation by the Prime Minister when it was launched in 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Huge Improvement in Vacancy Reporting<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the 2022-23, NCS portal has registered the highest vacancies since its launch,as per the statement given by&nbsp; a labor ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During this period, around 35.7 lakh vacancies have been reported by employers on NCS compared to around 13 lakh vacancies in 2021-22.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All in all, the reporting of vacancies on NCS in 2022-23 has shown an increase of 175 percent as compared to&nbsp; 2021-22.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to this, 2022-23 has also witnessed the highest active vacancies count of more than 5.3 lakh on October 30, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interestingly, the increase in vacancy posting on NCS has been observed across all sectors during this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A phenomenal growth of more than 800 percent is witnessed by the finance and insurance sector by registering 20.8 lakh vacancies during 2022-23 compared to 2.2 lakh vacancies in 2021-22.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides finance and insurance, the vacancies in the operations and support sector have also registered a growth of 400 per cent, with 3.75 lakh vacancies reported in 2022-23 against 76 thousand in 2021-22.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During 2022-23, the vacancies in other sectors such as&nbsp; Hotels, Food Service and Catering, Manufacturing, Health and Education, among others, also significantly increased compared to the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This period has also achieved&nbsp; a milestone of registering more than 1 million employers on the NCS portal since its launch.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is noteworthy here that out of the total registered employers, more than 8 lakhs employers were registered during this time only.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notably, the maximum registrations of employers were from the service sector (6.5 lakh), followed by the manufacturing sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note here that all the services available on the NCS portal are free of cost for all stakeholders, including jobseekers, employers, training providers and placement organizations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Tuesday, the labor ministry announced that as many as 35.7 lakh vacancies were registered on National Career Service (NCS) in 2022-23, which is a record so far.&nbsp;
