{"id":1244050,"date":"2023-03-25T09:40:24","date_gmt":"2023-03-25T04:10:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/?p=1244050"},"modified":"2023-03-25T09:41:02","modified_gmt":"2023-03-25T04:11:02","slug":"check-latest-ios-17-updates-expected-features-of-this-new-os-from-apple-expected-release-date-more","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/check-latest-ios-17-updates-expected-features-of-this-new-os-from-apple-expected-release-date-more\/","title":{"rendered":"Check Latest iOS 17 Updates: Expected Features Of This New OS From Apple, Expected Release Date &#038; More"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>iOS 17 is well on its way and the rumor mills are abuzz as always.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"465\" src=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Untitled-design-3-6.png\" alt=\"Check Latest iOS 17 Updates: Expected Features Of This New OS From Apple, Expected Release Date &amp; More\" class=\"wp-image-1244054\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Untitled-design-3-6.png 1000w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Untitled-design-3-6-300x140.png 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Untitled-design-3-6-768x357.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In brief<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apple will announce iOS 17 at WWDC in June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For those unaware, WWDC is Apple\u2019s annual developers conference where it unveils the newest versions of its OS for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Watch.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the dates aren&#8217;t out yet, per tradition the conference is usually held during the first week of June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dates so far<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this year, those in the know predict it to take place in the week of June 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check out the events years past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2016: April 18<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2017: February 16<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2018: March 13<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2019: March 14<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2020: March 13<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2021: March 30<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2022: April 5<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sequence of events<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the latest iOS iteration is released in June the company will immediately release a beta version of the update to developers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then sometime in July, it will release a public beta that all iPhone users can try out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, Apple will release iOS 17 to everyone sometime in September, likely alongside the new iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro lineups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tight-lipped coming to features<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do note that Apple can get a hold of leaks since only a scarce number of people inside Apple actually have knowledge of the company\u2019s plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That being said, the \u201cbig picture\u201d of iOS 17 this year appears to be that it will be a relatively modest update in terms of new features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bloomberg reports that most notably iOS 17 (and Apple\u2019s other software platforms) is taking a backseat to the development of its AR\/VR headset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This headset could also be announced at WWDC and marks Apple\u2019s first major new hardware and software platform since the Apple Watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Wait for Dawn to arrive<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>iOS 17 is reportedly codenamed \u201cDawn\u201d and is in continuous development and testing ahead of WWDC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bloomberg says the update \u201cmay have fewer major changes than originally planned\u201d due to the focus on the Reality Pro headset \u201calong with iOS 16 snags.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ahead of the reveal in June, it\u2019s possible that new leaks and rumors will shed additional light on what\u2019s to come with iOS 17 this year<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, in general, enthusiasts will have to be <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2023\/03\/22\/ios-17-features-release-date-more\/\">patient <\/a>till the WWDC itself takes place.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>iOS 17 is well on its way and the rumor mills are abuzz as always.
