{"id":1244049,"date":"2023-03-25T09:36:55","date_gmt":"2023-03-25T04:06:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/?p=1244049"},"modified":"2023-03-25T09:37:28","modified_gmt":"2023-03-25T04:07:28","slug":"big-shocker-from-maruti-price-of-all-maruti-cars-will-increase-from-this-date-across-india","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/big-shocker-from-maruti-price-of-all-maruti-cars-will-increase-from-this-date-across-india\/","title":{"rendered":"Big Shocker From Maruti: Price Of All Maruti Cars Will Increase From This Date, Across India"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Maruti Suzuki has issued a fresh set of hikes across its models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"465\" src=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Untitled-design-2-8.png\" alt=\"Big Shocker From Maruti: Price Of All Maruti Cars Will Increase From This Date, Across India\" class=\"wp-image-1244052\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Untitled-design-2-8.png 1000w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Untitled-design-2-8-300x140.png 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Untitled-design-2-8-768x357.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Alongside Mahindra &amp; Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki India is confident of transitioning their respective product range before the April 1 deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has cited inflation and regulatory requirements behind the move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The hikes will come into effect from April 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cost pressure<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The carmaker has not confirmed the scale of the price increase but has informed that it will vary according to the model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maruti Suzuki stated, &#8220;The Company continues to witness increased cost pressure driven by overall inflation and regulatory requirements.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the company makes maximum effort to reduce cost and partially offset the increase, it has become imperative to pass on some of the impact through a price increase.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Both commercial and passenger vehicles affected<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The company has planned this price increase in April, 2023 which shall vary across models,&#8221; it added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has not specified whether the price hike will affect commercial vehicles or passenger vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But it&#8217;s safe to assume that cars in both segments will bear the brunt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other auto companies have been on a price hike spree due to consistent input cost pressures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BS VI Emission norms<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aside from this, India will be implementing Bharat Stage 6 regulations from next month that require automakers to fit their vehicles with a device to check emissions which translates to extra costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maruti Suzuki India Executive Director Corporate Affairs Rahul Bharti stated that the auto major is fully committed to a cleaner environment and will complete the BS-VI phase-2 transition well in time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;In fact, out of our total 62 applications, we had transitioned 31 applications to BS-VI phase-2 almost a year ahead of the compliance date,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He <a href=\"https:\/\/m-economictimes-com.cdn.ampproject.org\/c\/s\/m.economictimes.com\/industry\/energy\/oil-gas\/women-will-emerge-as-game-changers-for-oil-and-gas-sector-says-gail-indias-ayush-gupta\/amp_articleshow\/98914193.cms\">noted <\/a>that the Maruti Suzuki fleet currently has the least CO2 emission per car among all car manufacturers in the country which will keep getting lower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hero MotoCorp<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Indian two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp will also raise prices of select models of motorcycles and scooters by around 2% from April 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tata Motors<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tata Motors is set to hike prices of commercial vehicles by up to 5%, its second hike in four months, to ensure its vehicles comply with new emission norms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This hike, starting from April 1, will be applied across the entire range of commercial vehicles, with the hike varying according to the individual model and variant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has also upgraded its passenger vehicle portfolio to conform to stricter emission norms as well.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Maruti Suzuki has issued a fresh set of hikes across its models.
