There is a new feature to look forward to for WhatsApp users. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a new camera feature that extracts texts from an image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Patch<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new update v23.5.77 is bringing this feature to iPhones as of now so Android users have to wait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This should help users extract text from images they receive on WhatsApp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Utility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This feature could be especially handy for business or work-related conversations where documents and images are frequently shared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The newest update for iOS version 23.5.77 offers the feature which was previously restricted to beta testers only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to access<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This feature on iOS is called <\/a>Live Text and allows users to extract information from pictures and videos found online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Open an image that contains text and search for the new button that has been added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this point, you should <\/a>be able to see a new option that is only available on the latest version of the app on iOS 16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you click this button, you can copy the text from the image directly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Caution<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The feature doesn’t work with one-time-images that are essentially used to exchange expiring images.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For privacy reasons, this feature is not <\/a>compatible with the view once images.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Availability<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This feature can only be accessed on iOS 16 and isn’t supported by view once images, which provide an additional layer of privacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WhatsApp will most likely roll out the update in phases starting <\/a>from next month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
