App to empower investors and traders to enhance their investment performance and beat the benchmark market returns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Context<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mumbai, 16 March 2023:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>67% stock market participants fail to beat the benchmark market index reveals the ground-breaking survey on Indian capital markets and investor behavior.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In an alarming trend, most Indian Investors and traders are unable to generate even benchmark threshold returns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This can be attributed to a variety of factors like lack of a trading system, fault performance measurement, acting driven by emotions in times of greed and fear, relying on tips and fin influencers, excessive leverage, etc.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to overcome above mentioned challenges, SAMCO, one of India\u2019s leading Investment-Tech companies urges investors and traders to join the nationwide \u2018Mission &#8211; Ace the Index\u2019 that aims to build a culture of outperformance among Indians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SAMCO commissioned one-of-its-kind Indian capital markets and investor behavior survey to Nielsen, the global leader in consumer insights, data and analytics firm.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The survey has been done across 10 major cities which include Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Pune, Surat, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai and Jaipur, focusing on approximately investors and traders in the age-group 24 &#8211; 45 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Findings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The study reveals some interesting findings :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>67% of stock market participants are unable to generate even the benchmark index returns<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>65% of investors are not even aware of their exact stock market returns<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>77% of investors are not even aware that they consistently need to beat the benchmark indices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Among the limited 23% investors who are aware that they need to beat the benchmark indices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>More than 50% have no aspiration or idea about on how to outperform the benchmark indices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>63% investors don\u2019t even target or have any plans to beat indices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SAMCO&#8217;s intervention<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here&#8217;s where SAMCO steps in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SAMCO invites stock market participants to join \u2018Mission &#8211;
